* TUESDAY (Before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS William Anderson, a bootmaker, aged 58 years, pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness. He had been twice previously convicted for drunkenness during the last six months. He was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment. CONVERSION • OF BICYCLE A man whose name was suppressed pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful conversion to his own use of a woman's bicycle. He was convicted, and ordered to come up for sentence if called on within six months. TRAFFIC, OFENCES Offenders against, traffic' regulations were fined as follows; Exceeding speed limit —William' Harris, £3. Driving in dangerous manner—Jack Dardanelles Jones, £2. Cycling at night without light—Arthur John Telford, costs only. Failure to produce warrant of fitness—George P. Anderson, 10s. No warrant of fitness—Roderick Alexander McKay, costs only; Ivan Ryan, 10s; Henry Rothwell, ss; Mary Elizabeth Seaton ss. Failing to, keep to left— George Hector Briggs, ss; Richard Ernest Hicks, ss; Spencer P. Meehan, ss; Arthur Ricketts, ss; Frank Spencer, ss; Richard K. Todhunter, ss; Trevor Good, ss. No driver’s-licence —William Lionel Cranfield, 10s (no warrant of fitness, ss). Breach of goods service licence—William Arthur Habgood, 10s. , CIVIL COURT (Before Mr H. A. Young, S.M.) more road and Cashel street (Mr C. S. Thomas). The plaintiff alleged that the money was owing on the transfer of a coal business to the defendant and for details associated with it.
