FARMERS’ UNION ELECTS OFFICERS
The difficulties facing farmers because of the war were reviewed by Mr J. Stowell (president) at the annual meeting of the ‘ Timaru-St. Andrews branch df -the Farmers’ Union. The following officers were elected: President, Mr G. L. Murray; vice-pre-sidents. senior, Mr H. Arden; junior, Mr J. Bowie: treasurer, Mr P. R. Talbot; secretary, Mr A. B. Struthers; delegates, provincial executive, Messrs H. Arden, D, France, J. Bowie; recommendations, Messrs A. Ward, B. Evans, J. Stowell; delegate S.P.C.A., Mr’ W. J. Black.
