WET CANTEENS IN CAMPS
♦“ ALLIANCE TO MAKE REQUEST TO GOVERNMENT (PBF.SS ASSOCIATION ' TILEGEAU.) , AUCKLAND, February 24. A deputation from the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Alliance waited on the Methodist Conference asking for support for a request to the Government that wet canteens in military camps be abolished and that no more liquor be sent overseas. The Rev. D. Hickson said he was sure that every member of the conference was actively sympathetic. The matter would be discussed later in the session.
