FUND TO BUY FIGHTERS

SUBSCRIPTIONS FROM CANTERBURY

DONATIONS YESTERDAY AMOUNT TO £421

With another nine days remaining before the fund closes, Canterbury subscriptions to the Fighting Aeroplane Fund now total £3646 Xls 9cL Yesterday’s subscriptions, which included two cheques for £IOO and two for £25, added £421 13s 4d to the fund. It is to be remembered that every pound paid into the fund helps to relieve the heavy, financial burden being carried by the people of Britain, who are to-day in the front line of aerial warfare and who are paying for the protection of the Empire as well as enduring the actual horrors of war. New Zealand civilians can do no more, and certainly should do no less than help financially to the full extent of their ability. . . , .
