SOUNDING LAUNCH FOR GREYMOUTH
* HARBOUR BOARD AUTHORISED TO RAISE LOAN I From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, July 31. The Greyriiouth Harbour Foard Loan Bill was read a second time, put through the remaining stages, and passed by the House of Representatives to-night. An explanation of the bill, which authorises the Greymouth Harbour Board to borrow up to £IO,OOO for the purchase of a combined sounding launch and tug, was made by Mr J. O’Brien (Government, Westland). He said that the vessel was required for sounding the bar. t was necessary to have the vessel built in New Zealand.
