— * — TOTAL OF £249,344,651 [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, July 30. The total amount of public debt outstanding on March 31 last was £249,344,651 11s 9(1, slates the annual report of the Public Debt Commission, presented to the House of Representatives to-day. The commission reports that the amount of public debt repaid or redeemed last financial year was £1,878,216 9s 6d. The aggregate amount repaid or redeemed since the beginning of the act in 1925 was £20,312,083 5s lid.
