PROFIT-EARNING STATE DEPARTMENTS
■ _— • PROVISION FOR PAYMENT OF INCOME TAX WELLINGTON, July 31. Provision for the payment of income tax by profit-earning departments of State is made in the Supplementary Estimates introduced to-night in the House of Representatives. The amount which it is estimated that the State coal mines will pay is £BSOO. and the amount to be paid on the profits of the commercial broadcasting sei’vice is £11,400. The income taxation on the electric supply account is expected to be £IOO,OOO.
