EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE AT HALSWELL
♦ ■ There was a large attendance at a dance and euchre party held in the Halswell Hall by the committee of the Labour Party, for the Red Cross .and the Soldiers’ Welfare Committee’s funds. Music was supplied by Frank Miller’s band, and Mr L. E. Dew was master of ceremonies. A lucky-spot dance was won by Miss Wilhelm and Mr Ray Kolkman, and a Monte Carlo by Mr R. Collins and partner. Euchre prizes were won by Mrs Withers, Miss Gibbs, Mr G. Sunbeam, and Mr H. Kolkman. Aggregate prizes were won by Mrs H. Sparks and Mr H. Sparks.
