ROLLER SKATING
* The de Luxe Skating Rink, Kilmore street, will to-night hold its Canterbury championship meeting, when the best skaters of ’ Christchurch, numbering about 50, will compete. A grand parade of competitors at 8 p.m. will be held, and the programme will include the graceful skating pairs, two-step pairs, and gliding pairs, and the freestyle and compulsory step championship for women and men. The quarter-mile and half-mile races for speedsters are also on the programme. The finals of the championship meeting will be held on Saturday night, when the silver cups will be presented to the winners.
