"THE LAST HOUR"
* BRILLIANT COMEDY FOR RADIANT HALL One of the most exciting and entertaining stage plays ever performed in Christchurch is Charles Bennett’s melodrama “The Last Hour,” which will begin at the Radiant Hall on Friday evening. The play is written round the theft of a death ray apparatus. Hilarious interludes are provided by comic village policemen, whose well-intentioned but meddlesome manoeuvres hamper the secret service in their efforts to recover the stolen ray. Two brilliant professional actors head the cast. Ashburton Rcper- i tory Society players providing the supporting roles. Miss Ngaio Marsh, the producer, has organised flip play as a benefit for the British Sailors’ Society. Box plans are at the D.I.C. SUTCLIFFE SCHOOL ~! * An opportunity will be given to all those who wish to know how to prepare health foods in an appetising way to-morrow night at 93 Cashel street, by the Sutcliffe School of Radiant Living, Christchurch. The programme includes community singing, items, and exercises.
