DISCUSSION OF THE ESTIMATES
♦ RAPID PROGRESS MAE(E [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, July 23. Estimates of departmental expenditure for the current financial year were discussed in the House of Representatives to-day. Urgency was taken for 22 classes totalling £10,175,329, consideration of which would have occupied several days under normal conditions Rapid progress was made, most of the discussion taking place on votes for the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Labour, and the House rose at 11.30 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. to-morrow
