TRANS-PACIFIC FLIGHT
* — AMERICAN CLIPPER AT HONOLULU (Received July 23, 10 p.m.) HONOLULU, July 22. The American Clipper landed on its return from Auckland at 4.5 p.m. Colonel Clarence Young, manager of Pan American Airways Pacific division, who was a passenger in the American Clipper, said the British had ihvited Pan American Airways to use Suva as a base between Canton and Noumea. He said discussions were progressing to make Suva a regular port of call on the way to the Antipodes. Returning from Noumea, the Clipper circled over Suva to inspect the landing facilities from the air.
