STATE HOUSE TENANCIES
The appointment of a local tenancy committee ih Auckland for the allocation Of State houses to applicants was brought to notice in the Magistrate’s Court at OtahuhU. Several applications for possession of private houses were being considered, and'one tenant produced a letter from the Minister for Housing Stating that his application for a State house would be considered by the hew committee. “That is a new departure,” remarked the Magistrate, Mr W. R. McKean. The letter did not indicate Whether the committee’s activities were to be limited to the city qr were to include Otahuhu, , where many State /houses are being completed.
