♦ LOUIS BEATS GODOY TECHNICAL KNOCK-OUT ' IN EIGHTH ROUND (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPTSIGHT.) (Received June 21, 9 p.m.) . NEW YORK, June 20. Jjje Louis beat Arturo Godoy by a technical knock-out in the eighth round. The referee stopped the fight after Godoy, who was bleeding from the nose and the left eye, had been twice floored in the eighth round, once for a count of eight. After the decision Godoy ran to Louis’ corner and begged for a chance to continue. He seemed about to punch when police escorted him back to his corner. According to the United Press of America, Godoy won only two rounds and Louis five. Godoy weighed in at and Louis at 1991 b.
