UNIVERSITY WOMEN
VISIT OF DOMINION PRESIDENT Members of the Federation of University Women had the opportunity of meeting their Dominion president, Mrs W. H. Cocker (Auckland) at a general meeting held in the federation’s clubro'oms last evening. Mrs Cocker is a delegate to the Dominion conference of the National Council of Women, which will open in Christchurch to-day. The federation president, Miss I. F. Milnes, welcomed Mrs Cocker, and also Mrs W. Benson (Dunedin), a former president of the federation, who is also in Christchurch for the National Council’s conference. Other guests included Mrs B. Douglas (Otago), Mrs Welsh (Leeds, England), Dr. Eiiid Cook (Liverpool, England), Miss J. Bell, Miss L. Sullivan (Dunedin), Miss Griffin (Auckland), and Mrs Lockwood (London). Mrs Cocker gave a comprehensive report of the activities of the Dominion executive, and Mrs Benson also spoke. Mrs B. C. Penney expressed the thanks of the federation.
