Sir,--Recent reports appearing in your paper - concerning the proposed establishment of an intermediate school at Rangiora might give the impression that the Ashley branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute considers that- 'Mi l : Strachan, oi the Rangiora High School, is advocating the establishment of the intermediate school for personal reasons. We would assure all,, concerned that this is not the opinion of the branch, and that the branch believes that Mr Strachan’s efforts to have such -a ■ school established are made purely in the interests of what he considers to be the welfare of the children of the district.— Yours. w H . i^UTON.
