SHIPBUILDING IN CANADA
(Received April 22, 8 p.m.) LONDON, April 21. The Canadian Minister for Supply and Munitions stated at Ottawa that Canada’s 50,000,000 dollar war-time ship construction programme was proceeding ahead of schedule. Fifty shipyards were tyorking night and day on a programme calling for more than 100 vessels. Deliveries of some large patrol ships and minesweepers would be made this year.
