RETIREMENT OF MR J. S. NEVILLE
♦ * THE MAYOR’S TRIBUTE The Town Clerk, Mr J. S. Neville, ittended his last meeting of the Christchurch City Council last evenng. He will be given a farewell by he council next Monday evening, >ut last evening the Mayor, Mr R. tf. Macfarlane, M.P., said that he lid not like to allow the meeting to dose without paying a tribute, in ;ouncil, to the devoted services Mr Seville had given the city over a ong period of years. His work nerited the thanks of the council md the great mass of citizens. J lad earned their love and respect for nany years of faithful duty, and the * lest wishes of the city in his retirenent. ___________
