DEATH THROUGH FALL FROM BUILDING
CORONER’S FINDING IN WELLINGTON [THE PRESS Special Service! WELLINGTON. April 22. The inquest into the death of William Patrick Redmond, a storeman, aged 55, who fell from the top floor of the Wairarapa Farmers’ building in Lambton quay on to the verandah below, was held to-day before the Coroner, Mr James Emslie. Ir his finding. the Coroner said death was caused by shock arising from multiple injuries, and that the injuries were sustained in the ordinary course of the dead man’s employment. Evidence was given that Redmond at the time of the accident was working alone on the top floor of the building, and what he doing and how he, came to fall through a window could only be presumed. In front of the window were three bags, and on the windowsill were several parcels of paper bags. Some of these parcels had been moved, it would appear, said a police officer. Redmond was either on top of the bags or standing on the windowsill when he slipped and fell backwai ds through the window.
