We notice our soldiers are gradually being equipped with die new “Battle” Uniform ... there is no doubt that the new uniform has effected a wonderful improvement in the appearance of our troops. They look smarter and in every way better soldiers. Of course it is the spirit that counts, and there is nothing finer than the spirit of our boys. It is, however, gratifying to see our troops clothed in a manner which better reflects their sterling qualities ... Civil life also has its battles ... and the “Battle” Uniform of civil life is our everyday dress. Certainly the outward presentation we all make to the world is important, whether in a military life or ordinary life. Difficulties are being encountered in obtaining clothing of the character that we all like . . . prices are rising, supplies are short . . . but that is no reason why anybody should allow their appearance to fall below the standards which they know are desirable. The expert Cleaning and Pressing Service that is so inexpensively provided by Taylor’s enables everybody to be correctly and attractively attired . . . and remember that the Taylor Service should never be looked upon as an expense because it is quite the reverse . . . one of the greatest and most definite economies available in everyday life. Not only is your appearance kept up to the mark when your clothing is regularly cleaned and pressed by Taylor’s, but the extra wear . . . the longer service given when clothes are regularly cleaned by Taylor’s . . . have a monetary .value many, many times greater than the small cost involved in cleaning and pressing. To-day is Monday . . . the day to ring Taylor’s to call for your cleaning and pressing work. Look through your, wardrobe ... pick out the suits, frocks, particularly overcoats, that require cleaning and pressing . . . dial 31-820 and Taylor’s will do the rest . , . call for your work and return it to your home on time. If you prefer to, by all means bring your work to the Factory, 57-59 Kilmore Street, or it may be more convenient to call at Taylor’s City Depot, 678 A Colombo Street, opposite Ballantynes.
