MUNITIONS FACTORY EXPLOSION
FIVE KILLED AND 13 INJURED (UNITED PEESB ASSOCIATION—COPTRIOHT.) (Received April 21, 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 20. Five were killed and 13 injured by an explosion in a munitions factv ry in north London. Houses were shaken over a wide area, and plate-glass windows a mile away were blown out. Two bodies were recovered of men blown into a. nearby stream. The debris is being searched for the remaining three victims. The Ministry of Supply states that the explosion occurred in a mixing house. The building was destroyed, but reconstruction was started immediately, and it is expected that work will be resumed shortly in the section affected. A Court of Inquiry has been set up. The cause of the explosion is not yet determined, but there is no reason to suppose that the explosion was a result of sabotage.
