BURNHAM BAND

OPENING PRACTICES HELD MR G. E. PATTERSON AS MASTER The Burnham Band, playing instruments provided by the citizens of Christchurch, is now in being. The conductor is Mr G. E. Patterson. Mr A. Schnack was originally appointed conductor of the Burnham Band, but for medical reasons, his appointment was not confirmable. Mr Patterson, who has had extensive Oano experience, was appointed bandmaster of the Artillery Band in Dunedin m July, 1938. The first practice of the Burnham Band took place over the week-end. . . .
