The North Star is expected to reach the ice barrier Jni eight or 10 days’ time//After, she has left members of the expedition and her valuable , cargo on the Antarctic continent, she will sail for ‘Valparaiso to take on board further supplies for the.men-at .the bases. ; Rear-Admiral E. E. Byrd, in- a farewell message, .said: “We-always look forward with-great anticipation to our visits to New, Zealand, and it is with keen regret that we leave.
