GRAIN’S BAY ROAD BOARD PETITION CONSIDERED BY COUNCIL t Steps to dissolve the Okain’s Bay Road Board and to bring the area under the administration of the Akaroa County Council were taken at a meeting of the County Council on Friday, when a petition of ratepayers of the board area was placed before the council. “ , The petition read as follows:—''"Hie undersigned ratepayers of the Okain’s Bay Road Board district do hereby petition the Akaroa County Council to abolish the Okain’s Bay road district, and request that the Akaroa County Council declare the Okain’s Bay Road Board of the Okain’s Bay Road district to be dissolved, and that such road district be merged in the County of Akaroa.” The request was made under the provision of section 122 of the Counties Act. 1920. . , The petition was signed by 76 ratepayers out of a total roll of 103, stated the county clerk (Mr C.
