CHRIST'S COLLEGE OLD BOYS
LUNCHEON HELD IN LONDON (■mow oum ows coheispokdikt.s LONDON, October 27. The fifty-seventh annual gathering of Christ’g College old boys in England was held on October 25, at Romano’s restaurant, Soho. Because of the black-out it was advisable for the old boys to assemble at luncheon instead of for the customary dinner. As Mr J. H. Lascelles, the honorary secretary, is serving in the forces, the former honorary secretary, Mr H. Williams, did duty for the occasion. Considering the times, there was a very satisfactory response. The guest of honour was Mr J. Monteath, who is on vacation in England. The toast of “Christ’s College” was proposed by the acting-honor-ary secretary, and was responded to by Mr Monteath, who gave an account of the activities of the college, both on the field and in the classrooms, during his year as acting-headmaster. Those present were Messrs M. D. Acland, J. M. Bassett, A. H. Carrington, El B. Cooke, H..D. Cook, S. Dalgety, D. P. Dennistdun, I. Gebbie, C. F. Gray, K. N. Gray, L. H. Harper, W. Irving, A. Jameson, P. B. Maling, S. Mcore, L. A. Nicoll, M. Ormond, F. S. Pudney, B. Smyth, P. Unwin, G. Webb, W. Wilson, and H. Williams.
