APPEAL ALLOWED BY MAGISTRATE

An appeal against the action of the Plumbers’ Apprenticeship Committee in refusing the application of N. B. L. Church for the registration of an apprentice, was made before Mr J. A. Gilmour. S.M., in the Industrial Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Messrs F. L. Horne and T. Kotiowski (secretary) represented the committee, and Mr B. A. Young appeared for Church. . , The application had been refused on the ground that Church had no workshop with facilities, properly to teach . the apprentice the trade. . The Magistrate allowed the appeal provided a registered factory, to the satisfaction of the committee, was provided by the applicant.
