NEW CONTROLLER AND AUDITOR-GENERAL
MR C. G. COLLINS APPOINTED WELLINGTON, August 31. The appointment of Mr Cyril George Collins as. Controller and AuditorGeneral as from to-morrow was announced this evening by the ActingPrime Minister (the Hort. P. Fraser). •Mr Collins succeeds Mr J. H. Fowler, who is retiring on superannuation after 44 years’ service to the State. 1 During Mr Fowler’s two years as Controller and Auditor-General Mr Collins has been his deputy. Mr Collins will assume an office formerly held by his father, Colonel R. J. Collins, Who retired in 1921, after serving 11 years as Controller and Auditor-General.
