APPROVAL OP MEMORIAL
CENTENNIAL PROJECT AT NEW BRIGHTON The Canterbury Centennial Committee has approved the memorial decided on for New Brighton and has now, forwarde'd the proposal to Wellington for final approval, said the Mayor (Mr E. L. Smith), who presided at a meeting of the New Brighton Centennial Memorial Committee last evening.
Mr Smith reported that the credit balance to date was '£2Bl 12s 10d. Mr J. W. Graham had given £5 to the general fund. It was decided that the queen carnival close on Saturday and that the final payments for the. respective queeds be made at 5 p.m.
