TOTAL OF 50,000 RUNS
♦ SUTCLIFFE’S RECORD IN FIRST CLASS CRICKET LONDON, July 10. Herbert Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire and All-England cricketer, has completed his 50,000 runs in first-class cricket, a distinction he shares with J. B. Hobbs. F. E. Woolley, W. G. Grace, E. Hendren, and P. Mead. Sutcliffe is now 45 years of age.
