ARCHBISHOP O’SHEA’S RETURN
* ARRANGEMENTS FOR WELCOME IN WELLINGTON [THE PRESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, June 2. Arrangements for a reception in the Wellington Town Hall on the night of June 13, to the Archbishop of Wellington and the Metropolitan of New Zealand, the Most Rev. Dr. Thomas O’Shea, who is returning to New Zealand from a trip abroad were reported to-day to be well in hand. Archbishop O’Shea left San Francisco by the Matson liner Mariposa on May 23 and will arrive at Auckland on Friday next, He will leave Auckland by the Limited express that night, and on his arrival in Wellington next Saturday will be driven to St. Mary of the Angels, Boulcolt street, where High Mass will be celebrated followed by the singing of a Te Deum. The public reception in the Town Hall on June 13. at which the Mayor (Mr T. C. A. Hislop) will preside, is expected to be one of the largest gatherings of its kind held in Wellington. Archbishop O’Shea’s speech, during which he will make a number of announcements concerning the National Eucharistic Congress to be held in Wellington next February, will be broadcast by Station 2YA,
