GOLDEN JUBILEE BALL
CELEBRATIONS AT LADBROOKS The Ladbrooks hall was crowded when former pupils of the Ladbrooks School and their relatives and friends gathered.to celebrate the golden jubilee of the school. The hall was effectively decorated with greenery and hanging baskets of coloured flowers and ferns. The Stewart-Roesler band supplied music for the dancing. A capable committee, with Mr G. Tobeck as chairman, Mr C. Anderson as deputy-chair-man. Mr G. King as secretary, and Mr W. Tucker as treasurer, had made excellent arrangements for the festivities, and the guests spent an enjoyable time meeting old school friends and recalling early days of school life. Other members of the jubilee committee were;— Messrs P. McDrury, P. Pickering, A. Jacobs, 11. J. ware, F. Roesler, J. Taylor, F„. Coles* E. Stone, C Payne, B. Templeton, H. Mehrtens, H. Nolan, F. Nolan, H. Meyer, R. Right, Mesdames H. Meyer, A. Jacobs, C Payne, and M. Miller. ; During the evening. Miss Shirley Pickering gave an exhibition of tapdancing. . Novelty dandes were won by Miss Margaret Brown and Mr w. Streeter, Mr H. Arnst and Mrs Moore, Mr R. Anderson and Mrs Wolff.
