WATERFRONT CONTROL BOARDS
AUCKLAND PERSONNEL Cmikm association tbligjuu.) AUCKLAND. April 4. The personnel of the Auckland Waterfront Control Board has now been decided. The representatives for the employers will be Mr H. J. Foreman, of the Shaw Savill and Albion Company. Ltd,, and Mr G. .S. Poole, of Leonard and Dingley, Ltd., and for the waterside workers Mr T. H. Solomon and Mr W. J. Cuthbert, president and secretary of the Auckland Waterside Workers’ Union, who were appointed by the national executive of the Waterside Workers’ Federation. The federation representatives on the National Board, to which the local boards are to report, are Messrs J. Flood (Lyttelton), J. Roberts, and J. O. Johnson (Wellington). The employers’ representatives on the National Board will be independently appointed. If a local board cannot agree upon its chairman, the Minister will appoint one. It is understood that the initial meeting of the National Board will be convened by the Minister for Labour (the Hon. P. C. Webb), but the date is not fixed.
