WINTER CRUISE TO SOUTH PACIFIC
* ITINERARY PLANNED FOR H.M.S. WELLINGTON AUCKLAND, March 15. The detailed programme for the annual winter • cruise to the South Pacific islands of the Imperial escort vessel, Wellington, cipmmanded by Commander. Hyde-Smith, has now been completed. H.M.S. Wellington, with H.M.S. Leith, is at present in Australian waters and will return to the Dominion next month. On May 16 H.M.S. Wellington will leave Auckland for a two months’ cruise to the Fiji Group, New Hebrides, the British Solomon Islands protectorate, and Gilbert and Ellice Islands Colony. The itinerary is as follows; —Depart Auckland May 1C; Suva, May 22 to 24; Vila, May 27 to 30; Pauma (west side), May 31 to June 1; Bushman’s Bay, June 1 to June 2; Baldwin’s Cove, June 2 to 3; Segond, June 3 to 5; Lolowai (Aoba), June 5 to 6; Hog Harbour, June 6 to 7; Santa Anna, June 9 to 10; Kira Kira (San Cristoval), June 10 to 11; Aola, June 11 to 12; Tulagi, June 12 to 19; Royalist Harbour, June 19 to 20; Auki, June 20 to 22; Ocean Island, June 26 to 30; Tarawa, July 1 t» 7; Abemama, July 7; Beru, July 8 to 12; Vaitupu, July 14; Funafuti, July 15 to 19; Rotuma, July 20 to 21; Suva, July 124,
