SPORTS MEETING AT MONICA PARK
Next Saturday afternoon and evening the biggest athletic and sports meeting staged for many years will be held at Monica Park, which has recently been renovated. The afternoon programme includes cycling, women’s cycling, highland and Irish dancing, and baby shows. In the evening the chief attraction will be the ’£2s four-lap “broadside,” in which most of the leading riders will take part. There will also be cycling, highland dancing finals, cash running, and two splendid boxing bouts. There will also be a special attraction provided by a “chocolate alley,” more than ,20 sideshows operating. Special trams will run to Monica Park. Car parking will also be available.
