MEETING AT ENGLISH PARK
MANY CLOSE FINISHES A crowd of several hundred saw E. A. McKaskell's quarter-mile dash on Saturday evening at the weekly sports meeting conducted by the Canterbury Cash Cycling Club. McKaskell registered 30 4-ssec for the distance. Me already holds the quar-ter-mile track record of 30sec, from a standing start. The racing throughout the evening Was of a Very high standard, and many close, hard-fought finishes were seen.

AVON CLUB The Avon Amateur Cycling Club opened its season on Saturday afternoon at Monica Park. After the rain on Friday the track was heavy. J. V. Martin was the winner of the one-mile handicap.
