N.Z. PLAN CRITICISED BY AMERICAN DOCTOR
SYDNEY, January 14,
Dr. H. E. Robertson, Professor of Pathology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, United States, who has arrived in Sydney, said he was opposed to anything that would regiment doctors in any shape or form of government control of practice.
“Doctors should be free to develop their own ambitions,” he said. “In my opinion, the New Zealand Social Security Act, which apparr ently aims at the control of the practice of medicine by government agencies, is a most regrettable step.
