SLACKS
TO TMW KDITOB OJ TOT PSXSS. Sir, —I was pleased to read in your issue of December 31 that “Observer” backed my challenge that girls should not be allowed to wear slacks. But I do not.agree with your other correspondent, “Slacks with Modern Times.” First, I am not narrow-minded as this person would suppose I am. Second, who would ever conceive the idea that slacks suited girls when feminine attire always has been dresses. As it is. the streets looks uglier when girls are wearing these unsightly garments than when they are wearing dresses. —Yours, etc., ANTI-SLACK. January 2, 1939. [This correspondence is now closed.— Ed. “The Press.”!
