BY-ELECTIONS IN BRITAIN
THREE NOW PENDING ’
(Received December 29, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 28. The death has occurred of Sir S. Servington Savory, M.P. for the Holderness division of Yorkshire. There are now three by-elections pending—in East Norfolk, where the Liberal National member, Viscount Elmley, on the death of his father, Earl Beauchamp, became a member of the House of Lords; the Rippon division of Yorkshire, where there is a vacancy through the death of Major J. W. Hills; and the Holderness division.
