GOLDEN WEDDING
MR AND MRS F. W. HUNNIBELL
When Mr and Mrs F. W. Hunnibell (Fendalton road) celebrated the golden anniversary of their wedding this week, a number of Mr Hunnibell’s former pupils who had attended school when he first took charge at Spreydon, paid a surprise visit to their home.
A very happy time was spent, and the visitors presented a handsome chair to the honoured guests as a memento of the occasion.
Those present included Canon and Mrs W. S. Bean, Dr. J. F, Duncan, Messrs Arthur Suckling, Leslie Connor, J. Wern, Hawker, Hur«im, G. Hale, E. Hole, M. Murphy, Walter Cookson, and J. Poison.
In the evening a family gathering was held, about 26 members of the family being present. A number of friends also called during the day to offer their congratulations. Another enjoyable entertainment was the reception given by Mr and Mrs Hunnibell to honour Mr and Mrs Edwin Pickering, when about 60 guests were present.
