TRIBUTES TO WORK OF SECRETARY
ADJUSTMENT COMMISSION IN SOUTH CANTERBURY
Tributes to the work of Mr C. L. Cutler, secretary to the South Canterbury Rural Adjustment Commission, were paid by members of that body yesterday afternoon. The chairman of the commission (Mr W. E. Mills), who presided, said Mr Cutler had displayed remarkable ability in his position. He hJd shown himself to be a keen and efficient officer, who had taken an interest in his duties and had given members of the commission valuable assistance. In making a presentation to Mr Cutler, Mr R. Sinclair, who has been associated with the commission from its inception, seven years ago, said that the officer was the type of public servant who was doing his work exceptionally well, and who would climb to an important position in later life. Others who spoke appreciatively of Mr Cutler’s efficiency were Messrs J. Stevens, former chairman of the commission, L. M. Inglis, W. Harte (registrar of the Court of Review), and A. Curtayne (State Advances Department) .
