ILLNESS OF ONTARIO PREMIER
PROPOSED AUSTRALIAN TRIP MAY BE CANCELLED
(Received December 21, 8 p.m.)
TORONTO, December 20,
The recurrence of a heart ailment threatens to cancel the trip proposed by the Ontario Premier (Mr Mitchell Hepburn) to Australia.
The Ontario Liberal caucus appointed a committee to endeavour to remove the differences between Mr Hepburn and the Prime Minister (Mr W. L. Mackenzie King), but illness may force Mr Hepburn's resignation instead. Physicians are reserving their decision upon Mr Hepburn's suggestion that he resign the Premiership and sail to Australia in search of health.
