NEW HOTEL FOR KAIAPOI

FIRE DAMAGE TO BE REPLACED

APPROVAL OF PLANS BY COUNCIL

Plans and specifications for a new hotel to be built on the Main North road, Kaiapoi, to replace the old Kaikanui Hotel, destroyed by fire, were approved at the fortnighlty meeting' of the Kaiapoi Borough Council. To assist the Kaiapoi Health Campaign Committee, it was decided to' purchase health stamps to the value of £2.

There were present at the meeting the Mayor (the Rev. W. H. A. Vickery), Crs. A. E. Brown, A. S. Palmer, R. C. Stewart, A. Gordon, W. Hart, J. P. Farrell, H. Rinaldi, and A. Linklater.
