ENGLISH GRASS SEED
TO THE EDITOB Of THE TRESS Sir—Would any farmer enlighten me about how to treat a paddock of English grass seed? I have 14 acres of English grass with a lot of white clover and green undergrowth. I was going to cut it with a grass-mower, leave it lie on the ground for a week, and then head it. Will it sweat m the bags after heading? Will the header pick it up cleanly and successfully? There is too much undergrowth in the grass to cut with a binder. I should be very grateful for advice on it. —Yours. et °" J. LEYBOURNE. Southbridge, December 19, 1938.
