TWO DOCTORS KIDNAPPED
BY TERRORISTS

The Jerusalem correspondent of “The Times” states that, presumably to ensure that their wounded are medically attended, raiders kidnapped two Arab doctors while they were motoring from Hebron to visit the Government’s village clinics. Tewfik Shanti, an Arab notable, was assassinated in a doctor’s office at Jaffa, which he was visiting for treatment after an attempt on his life iflcf wpek A British Official Wireless message states that a goods train from Haifa to Lydda was derailed near Tulkarem. There were no casualties. An Arab supernumerary was shot and seriously wounded near the Damascus gate at Jerusalem.
