PRESBYTERIAN CENTENARY
At a meeting of the congregation of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, it was decided to inaugurate the centenary thanksgiving fund. Mr A. C. Wells, vice-chairman of the Christchurch central committee, addressed the members on the object of the fund. Messrs R. Fenton, L. Rossiter, and J. Preston were appointed Lyttelton leaders. The sum of £135 was promised at the meeting, the donor of £IOO expressing gratitude to the pioneers who had erected the beautiful church of St. John’s.
