SURF LIFESAVING

1 GRANT TO ASSOCIATION A grant of £SO from the Christchurch City Council to the New Zealand Surf Life Saving Association will be payable in February according to advice received at a meeting of the association last evening, over which Mr H. S. Feast presided. The secretary was instructed to write to the council and express the association's appreciation of the help. Letters will also be sent to other local bodies round Christchurch soliciting grants. Most of the evening was spent in considering the new constitution prepared by Mr V. G. Spiller.
