PLUNGE DOWN MINE
* CAGE FALLS 700 FEET FIVE UNIVERSITY ENGINEERS KILLED (Received July 29, 7.30 p.m.) MONTREAL, July 28. Five university engineering graduates plunged 700 feet to death in a runaway cage in the Lamaque gold mine in northern Quebec. The assistant superintendent was about to enter when the cage dropped.
