SHIPPING NOTES The Fort Tauranga is due here to-day from Coff’s Harbour, Australia, with hardwood. She reported yesterday that she was meeting with a strong south-easterly gale, and her speed was reduced to four knots. The Pakura is due here to-day from Waikokopu, ■ and Is to load for Napier Gisborne, and other East Coast ports of the North Island. The Waikouaiti is an expected arrival here about next Saturday from Timaru to discharge cargo from Australian Portland to load for Sydney. The Nardana is due here next Saturday from Wellington to discharge hardwood from Western Australian ports. The Katmai is to arrive here on Wednesday from Timaru to discharge coal from Westport. The Breeze, is to load here on Monday for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Waipiata, from Auckland and Wellington, is now due here on Wednesday. At Sydney the Storm is to be converted from a steamer into a motor-ship. KARAMEA DELAYED Owing to rain the Karamea has been delayed, and will now leave Auckland to-day, arriving at Wellington on Monday. She is due at Lyttelton about Friday. August 18-19; New Plymouth, August 20-24; and Auckland. August 26 to September 3. She will clear Auckland finally on September 3 for London, Avonmouth, Cardiff. Liverpool, Manchester. and Glasgow. The liner Ruahine, now en route from London, will load at Napier, September 12-13; Waikokopu; September 14-15; Gisborne, September 16-17; Auckland, September 19-23: and Wellington, September 26-28.
