♦ “MEETING OF A SOCIAL NATURE” (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELSGSAU.) WELLINGTON, July 27. Colonel A. S. Wilder, R. Gambrill, N. L. Macky, and P. R. Spragg, who were retired from the active list of the New Zealand territorial officers following the issue by then) on May 18 of a manifesto criticising the Government’s defence policy, are visith.g Wellington. Colonel Spragg that neither he nor his colleagues desired to make any statement for publication. When one of the colonels was asked 1 -day if the visit was to give further consideration to the situation.; he said lhat their meeting was really of a social nature. This was the first opportunity they had had of meeting together since their manifesto \\*as issued; They had no statement to make.
