MISS BATTEN’S MOTHER ILL
AVIATRIX POSTPONES VISIT TO BERLIN LONDON, June 23. Miss Jean Batten, the New Zealand aviatrix, who had arranged to fly to Berlin to-day, where she was to receive a gold medal in recognition of her flights, has postponed her flight owing to the sudden illness of her mother.
